No sweepstakes is active. This is a preparation framework, not the rules for a drop. Every real drop must have matching French and English versions of its own official rules, available before personal information is submitted.
Operator and privacy lead
1. Required short disclosure
The page and every material advertisement must make it easy to find the sponsor, dates and time zone, territory and age, number and approximate value of prizes, any regional allocation, free entry method, facts affecting the odds, selection method and link to the complete rules.
2. Sections required for each drop
- Legal sponsor and administrator, with contact details.
- A clear “no purchase necessary” statement.
- Period, start and end times and time zone.
- Territory, minimum age and excluded people.
- Free entry method and limit per person or email.
- Prize description, number, approximate value and conditions.
- Odds of winning or how they are determined.
- Random draw and planned selection date.
- Candidate notice, response deadline and eligibility proof.
- Skill-testing question for a Canadian candidate.
- Declaration, separate publicity authorization and prize fulfilment.
- Alternate candidate after refusal, failed contact or disqualification.
- Fraud, technical errors, integrity and lawful modification or cancellation.
- Privacy and optional marketing.
- Social platforms, governing law and how to obtain the winner list.
3. Common Confetio principles
No purchase is necessary. Entry is never conditional on marketing consent. Automated, duplicate, incomplete, false, ineligible or late entries may be void after review. A selected person is not a winner until verification is complete and, in Canada, the skill-testing question is passed.
4. Prize, odds and fulfilment
The rules must describe the prize precisely, including quantity, currency, approximate value, restrictions, expenses not included and a reasonable delivery period. Odds normally depend on the number of eligible entries received unless another method is clearly explained. No cash substitution or transfer is allowed unless the rules provide for it.
5. Separate promotional coupon
The Confetio scratch card is a reveal animation. A generic coupon provided after entry must be described separately from the prize, must not be presented as an instant win and must not affect the odds. Its conditions, expiry and exclusions must be visible.
6. Social platforms and advertising
Unless expressly stated, social platforms do not sponsor or administer the drop. A sponsored, affiliate or contest-related post must clearly disclose that relationship. A winner’s name or region is published only after authorization.
7. Privacy and evidence
The rules must link the applicable privacy policy. Confetio stores the language, URL and version of the documents presented with each entry. The rules and material drop details should not change after the first entry except for a permitted, documented correction.
